Every garment is made to order, to avoid waste and honor the time, the materials, and the uniqueness of each individual. ECDISI is my vision of dressing as a gesture of transformation and self-expression.
Behind ECDISI there’s me, Eleonora, a young fashion designer.
My passion for fashion and tailoring began when I was a child, watching my grandmother, a seamstress, shape fabrics with her hands, one stitch at a time.
Since then, I’ve made that artisanal care my own, turning it into a creative language that became ECDISI.

Sustainability
ECDISI actively embraces and encourages a more conscious approach to fashion, believing that even the smallest choices can spark meaningful change.
For this reason, we use only deadstock fabrics: forgotten, unused, or surplus materials from past productions, given a second life instead of being discarded, reducing waste, minimizing the need for new resources, and honoring what might otherwise be left behind.
Each piece is also handmade, produced slowly and in small quantities, respecting the natural rhythm of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Every piece is entirely handmade, using both crochet and sewing techniques. From the first stitch to the final finish, I pour time, care, and intention into each creation. This hands-on process ensures that every garment is truly unique, with the warmth and authenticity that only artisanal work can offer. My work is a modern expression of Italian heritage, where handmade meets design, and tradition meets individuality.

Behind the Name Ecdisi

This parallel between ecdysis and clothing reflects the deeper human experience of transition, growth, and the constant evolution of identity.
The shedding of old clothes represents a process of renewal and personal evolution since clothes allow the individual to "transform", just as ecdysis allows the animal to evolve.
In nature, ecdysis marks the moment when a living being sheds its skin. It lets go of what no longer fits, making space for something new. It is an act of growth, transformation, and quiet rebirth.
Just like in nature, we too go through moments where change feels inevitable — where we evolve, rediscover ourselves, and leave behind old versions of who we were. In those moments, clothing becomes more than fabric: it becomes a symbol, a second skin that reflects who we are and who we’re becoming.
